Daryl's initial success came with Sherbet (with Clive Shakespeare, Tony Mitchell, Garth Porter, Alan Sandow and Harvey James) from 1971 until 1979. The group continued as Highway and then as The Sherbs as they set out to seek international success.
The group broke up in 1984 and Daryl spent four years away from the music industry.
In 1988, Daryl relaunched his solo career with the recording of Edge, followed soon after by another solo album Rise in 1990.
Since then, Daryl has continued to record and tour with occasional Sherbet reunions thrown in for good measure. He is still a most sought-after act on the corporate scene across Australia. |
