A favourite part of Radio Ga Ga - three or four songs are played, each of which shares a common characteristic. Sometimes easy, sometimes cryptic, always great music.

All songs enter the charts in the same week - this week 30 years ago. This led into an interview with the author of The Book: Top 40 Research, Steve Scanes. I use his book to identify links like this one!

Each song was the only top 40 hit for each band and, in each case, the song managed to only get to position 40 on the charts for one week before falling out of the charts again. Truly a collection of one-week, one hit wonders!
